I bet TO just rolled in his sunglasses.
Good for Mr. Williams, but is he really what the Cowpokes needed. Seems to me that they have more offensive line and defensive problems than finding folks to throw the ball to. You have to wonder if the powers that be in Big D are finally getting fed up with Mr. Owens' act. Really really fed up. Like first, third, and fifth round picks fed up.
Since when have the Lions and the draft been associated with anything good? I do not necessarily agree with the trade from a Cowboys' perspective, but assuming the Cowboys end up with at worst a mid first round pick next year, getting a Roy Williams for that value is great.
Dallas is not fed up with TO. They just know how old he is and that he needs to be replaced soon. The Cowboys will not stop there. If Crayton and Austin to not improve significantly, they will get another WR in another year or two. They do not want to miss a beat when TO loses a step.
The Lions and the draft may become something good, because they no longer have Millen making the moves. Under Millen they drafted WR after WR in the 1st round. With Millen gone, they trade a 1st round WR. Interesting.
Terrible deal for the Cowboys. Gonna have to resign him next year to a max deal no matter what because you just traded a king's ransom for Roy, and now he has all the leverage. Also you don't spend that much for a WR. See the Redskins and the Lions recent history. Jerry Jones has lost his mind.
The problem with the Cowboys is that Wade Phillips is still coaching them, so this trade won't benefit them nearly as much as one would think.
Excellent trade for the Lions -- as long as they don't draft any more WR's in the first round.

A first, a third and a sixth round pick ? Seems like a good trade for the Lions.
