Dolphins need more from CBs Taylor, Davis

With the loss of cornerbacks Dimitri Patterson and R.J. Stanford to injured reserve for the remain-der of the season, the Dolphins will start Nolan Carroll going forward. But the team will need more production from rookies Jamar Taylor and Will Davis the rest of the season.

Taylor, a second-round pick this year, has played in seven games this season and has been nursing a sports hernia injury over the second half of the season. Davis, a third-round pick, has played in only three games this season. Neither was active on Sunday at Pittsburgh. Both players have been considered disappointments this season for failing to pass players such as Patterson, Stanford and Carroll on the depth chart.
