Falcons lose Julio Jones for the season

The Atlanta Falcons suffered another huge loss following their last-second defeat on Monday night to the New York Jets. On Tuesday, the team confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that star wide receiver Julio Jones would miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.
The team lost fellow Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White in the second half against the Jets with hamstring injury. It’s unknown how long White will be out.
The loss of Jones comes atop a season of injuries for the Falcons, who are 1-4 and have lost three consecutive games. A return to the playoffs this season after making the NFC Championship Game in 2012 seems highly unlikely at this point.
Wide receiver Harry Douglas is expected to move into the starting lineup in place of Jones. Wide receiver Drew Davis could move into the lineup in place of White.
