Former NFL QB Vince Young is bankrupt

Shortly after the new year in 2006, Texas quarterback Vince Young shocked the world when he led his Longhorns to a 41-38 win over USC in the Rose Bowl, the site of the 2005 BCS National Championship.

Young was then selected third overall in that year's NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans, was the AP's Offensive Rookie of the Year and graced the cover of the following season's Madden video game.

It has been all downhill since.

Young's career fell off and of late, he's been unable to land an NFL job. That's resulted in Young being forced to file for bankruptcy, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.

He's listed assets in the range of $500,001 to $1 million and claims to have a liability of over $1 million to $10 million.

Young's career began with such promise. It's a shame it's come to this.
