The Freeh Group, which released a damning report Thursday following its investigation of Penn State University and the sexual abuse scandal in the football department, is still looking into the New Orleans Saints.

Saints owner Tom Benson hired the firm, led by former FBI director Louis Freeh, in April to look into alleged wiretapping by general manager Mickey Loomis during home games at the Superdome, as well as the bounty scandal that has rocked the organization.

According to Ryan Jones of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Freeh’s group has been working on an investigation of the Saints for three months and that is ongoing. Saints vice president of communications Greg Bensel did not share with Jones how the results of the investigation will be shared – or if they will – when it is completed.

ESPN reported in April that Loomis tapped into the visiting coaches’ box during Saints home games from 2002 to 2004. The FBI continues to look into the matter and the Saints have completely denied the accusations.
