NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi confirms that WR Joey Galloway has agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots.
Terms of the deal weren’t immediately known, and no official announcement was expected Saturday night.

Galloway, who has spent the past five years with the Buccaneers, fell out of favor with Tampa Bay in ‘08, starting four games and appearing in nine with 13 catches for 138 yards with no touchdowns. Prior to 2008, Galloway started 52 games over four seasons for the Bucs, turning in 1,000-yard seasons in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
In his 14 seasons in the league, Galloway has gone over the 1,000-yard plateau six times. Prior to Tampa Bay, Galloway spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and five with the Seattle Seahawks. For his career, Galloway has 682 catches for 10,710 yards and 77 touchdowns.
Well, Galloway still has to make the team, just like everyone else (except, maybe, Brady). Anyway, Galloway and Lewis are certainly upgrades over Washington and Gaffney. BB can draft a WR now and still field a competitive team even if the rookie doesn't immediately turn into a starter. Which is really the point of this signing.
Don't be too hyped about Galloway. There is a reason Gruden used to refer to him as the "White Tiger."

This could be deadly with Moss & Brady, that offense could be off the charts.
