Giants rookie Odell Beckham sidelined with hamstring injury

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham is recovering from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him at organized team activities.

He's being rested for precautionary reasons.

“It’s just soreness in my hamstring,” Beckham told reporters. “Just running around, (my) back being tight.”

Giants coach Tom Coughlin expects the injury to linger a bit.

“We are talking about a skilled athlete with a twinge," he said.

Added Beckham: “For me, it’s kind of hard because I’m just an active person. I’ve got that track background, so I feel like I’m born to run and all I want to do is run.”

Beckham has also been dealing with a woman who pretended to be his fiancee and alleged that she walked in on him during a threesome.

The entire situation was fabricated, according to Beckham, who informed the Giants and got NFL security involved.

“It was all a joke to me,” Beckham said. “I heard about it a long time ago and I kind of just laughed and I thought it was funny. And it slowly, slowly progressed and I was like ‘This is not true, this person is just doing whatever.’ It was pretty funny to read all the stories. Talking about, ‘You’ve been to London.’

"And I don’t even have a passport. It got to a point here I felt like I need to talk to somebody, and it’s just gotten out of hand. I don’t know what higher level it could have went to besides that you may have gotten married or something like that.”
