Harrison out, Roethlisberger to play for Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense will be without linebacker James Harrison for several weeks, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Tomlin also said that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who left Sunday's loss against the Houston Texans in a walking boot, is expected to play this Sunday when the Steelers host the Tennessee Titans.
Roethlisberger had an MRI on Monday, and the procedure revealed no fracture in Roethlisberger's injured left foot.
The Steelers, 2-2, are in a three-way tie for second in the AFC North behind division leader Baltimore, which defeated the New York Jets on Sunday night.
Losing Harrison could be a blow as the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year will be hard to replace. Even with his injury, Harrison ripped the Steelers' performance Sunday in the loss to the Texans.
"I'm not happy with any of it," Harrison said. "It's a loss. I'm not trying to look for a silver lining in any of it. We played like garbage. Period. We stink right now."
