Hernandez likely to play for Patriots Thursday

There may be some good news for the New England Patriots at the tight end position after losing Rob Gronkowski to a broken forearm.

According to NFL.com, the Patriots are poised to have tight end Aaron Hernandez back from an ankle injury in time for Thursday's game against the New York Jets.

Hernandez has missed six of the past eight games with an ankle injury, but the Patriots need him with Gronkowski sidelined at least a month with his injury.
