From Philly.com:
Pending free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh had some interesting things to say about the Eagles yesterday during an interview with Mike Missanelli on ESPN 950.Houshmandzadeh, considered the top free-agent receiver on the market, said he could potentially be interested in playing in Philadelphia.

"If the Eagles are interested in me, let's put it like this. If they'll be interested in me, I'll be interested in them," he said when asked if the Eagles would be his top choice. Houshmandzadeh, 31, had 92 catches for 904 yards last season, but keep in mind he was dealing with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback after Carson Palmer went down with an injury. When asked about Donovan McNabb, Houshmandzadeh said he's a fan. "I think McNabb is a fine quarterback," he said. "He's one of the best quarterbacks in the league, probably, I can't even think of another quarterback that has performed throughout his career the way he has and would be put in a situation like he was put in in Baltimore, but he bounced back very well. "He was going to playoff games consistently with Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell starting for him," Houshmandzadeh said. "Consistently performing well, making it easy for them. A quarterback is gonna make it easy for his receivers and his receiver is gonna make those catches that is out of his radius where he puts the ball, ball sails on him, you go get it, I mean it goes hand in hand. You just need somebody to make plays. And you make each other look good, and I think that's what he needs."
What a dumb report. Housh didn't bring up the Eagles on his own, he just answered a question about the Eagles in a political way.
However, Joe, the Eagles would be fools not to sign him if they can. Yes, TJ is no TO, he's better and won't destroy the team. And if the Eagles receivers are so great, why does almost everyone agree that their receiving corp is the weakest part of the team?
Of course, I'd be perfectly happy to see TJ go to the Giants.
Old receiver who will be overpaid while his production diminishes going from the #2 receiver to #1...Al Davis anyone?
I agree with Fort here. Giants need a deep threat with a big body. Housh doesnt fit the profile. Ocho cinco would actually be a better fit with regard to his style of play, but the giants organization probably wouldnt bring in a player like that.

31 year old #2 wide receiver? I highly doubt the Eagles are very interested. T.O. was 30 when they signed him and that was unusual for the Eagles, plus T.J. Houshmandzadeh is not T.O.
And where does T.J. play? They have big money invested in Curtis and what they feel is a rising star in Jackson. They aren't going to invest in big money for a slot receiver, whether T.J. plays there or Curtis moves inside.
Somebody out there is going to pay T.J. #1 WR money, and unless the Eagles front office has gone mad, it won't be them.
