We know this is under the "what if" file of things.

But if the Denver Broncos had not gotten mauled 45-10 by the New England Patriots, there is the possibilility that quarterback Tim Tebow would not have been able to play in the AFC Championship Game anyway.

Tebow finished the game against the Patriots, but suffered torn rib cartilage and bruises to his chest and non-throwing shoulde in the contest, according to the Denver Post.

Tebow won't need any surgery and will be full go by the time the Broncos begin their off-season work in April.

Oh this is just BS to make it look like his poor play wasn't his fault. Favre was another diva that pulled this stunt because he couldn't just man up and take full responsibility for his poor play.

When they win they get praised for toughness, but when they lose and play poorly there's always a "report" that talks about their boo boo's.

The only reason he wouldn't have played is because he would ride the pine for he throwing like Uncle Rico and not being able to hit water if he fell out of a boat.

You may not like the guy, or think he's a good QB, but Tebow really doesn't seem like the drama queen type. He certainly got buried by multiple linemen enough times that game.

I am not surprised that Tebow suffered injuries from the game with the Patriots. He got hit often and by many. I remember one play where it looked like the entire defensive line took him down.

Bringing up the injuries is not an alibi, but an indication of how much the Pats dominated the game. At least no Pats linemen jumped on a prone Tebow, the way that Tony Siragusa jumped on a prone Rich Gannon in the 2000 Superbowl. Nice play, Tony, you thug.

Tim Tebow didn't ask for the publicity. He just wants to play football.
