Jets sign Leger Douzable

The New York Jets signed veteran defensive lineman Leger Douzable, the team announced.

It's a one-year contract.

Douzable was sidelined last year with a shoulder injury, but had 38 tackles and a sack in six starts two seasons ago for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Douzable has 57 career tackles.

The former Central Florida lineman has also played for the New York Giants, St. Louis Rams and the Tennessee Titans.

With Douzable on the roster, the Jets add a proven player who had a promising season two years ago.
