Jim Irsay released from jail

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has been released from jail.

He was released on $22,500 bond at roughly 1:30 p.m. ET after being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Irsay looked tired in this video from the Indianapolis Star documenting his release.

Irsay is expected to be punished under the NFL personal-conduct policy.

He has been in treatment for an addiction to pain killers in the past, issuing a statement in 2002 that he has gone to rehab.

He wrote last October that he hadn't had a drink in 15 years.

"We are gathering information at this time regarding last night's incident involving Jim Irsay," the Colts said in a statement. "The team will issue additional statements when the facts are sorted and we are aware of the next steps to this process. Many fans have reached out to express their concern and we appreciate their support."
