Justin Pugh has a concussion

New York Giants rookie first-round offensive tackle Justin Pugh has suffered a concussion.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Pugh "took a shot in the head" this week.

A former standout at Syracuse, Pugh is experiencing headache symptoms.

Competing with David Diehl for the starting job at right offensive tackle, Pugh will have to pass a baseline neurological exam before he's cleared to play.
