Kevin Kolb will miss several weeks

The Arizona Cardinals will be changing quarterbacks again, a move dictated by injury as Kevin Kolb will be sidelined “several weeks” as he has multiple ribs detached from his sternum.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the news and it means John Skelton will be back in the role he had to begin the season. Kolb underwent an MRI on Monday, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, and he’s been sacked 22 times in the last three games.

Skelton was removed from the starting lineup earlier in the season when he suffered a sprained ankle. Ryan Lindley will serve as the No. 2 while Kolb is on the shelf. Kolb had been playing well for the Cardinals when he had time in the pocket.
