Lefeged freed from jail

Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged was released from jail on Tuesday without bond after he waived a pre-trial hearing, according to WJLA Channel-7 in Washington, D.C.

Lefeged was arrested last week for possession of a firearm after the receipt for the gun was found in the vehicle he was a passenger in. Lefeged told the TV station that the charge was "drummed up," even though police said he ran from the scene after the car was stopped for speeding and then pulled away again.

There was also a report of the odor of marijuana in the car and vodka in the vehicle as well.

A court date has not yet been set for Lefeged.
