From Kent Somers of AZ Central.com:
It was probably fitting that no one was in the mood for creating news or controversy Saturday. After all, players were gathered at the Cardinals facility for a flag football event to benefit Kurt Warner's foundation, and no one was anxious to darken sunny skies.
Receiver Anquan Boldin was there. Asked by his contract status, Boldin said he's leaving that up to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and the team. Boldin said he didn't want to ruin his off-season by worrying over contract issues. Nothing is going any way. If negotiations take place this year, they will start later this spring.
Quarterback Matt Leinart was there, too. He said he doesn't plan to ask for a trade in light of Warner's new two-year contract. Not that Leinart is content to be a backup, but he's not going to ask the team to deal him.
