I just spoke with a source who told me that free agent safety Jim Leonhard, who is flying to New York to visit with the Jets tomorrow, has received strong interest from both Philadelphia and Denver as well.
The four-year year veteran from Wisconsin started thirteen regular season games for the Ravens last season, including three starts in the post-season. Leonhard can also be a factor in the kick return game, which may increase his market value.
More on this story as it develops.
Pack needs special teams help, and a backup for Bigby when he's hurt (often). Plus the Wisconsin connection. Bowen, how's the knee? Sounds like a job for you actually!
I'm hoping the Jets don't let him leave the Atlantic Health Facility without signing a contract. I appreciate his passion for the game.
SEND HIM TO PHILLY!!!! WE NEED SOMEONE TO HELP FILL THE SPOT DAWK LEFT. HE'S NO DAWKINS, BUT.....

Leonhard was a walk-on at Wisconsin who ended up setting school records. He may not be an NFL record breaker, but whoever signs him is going to get an incredible deal.
