From Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com:
Seattle has traded Pro Bowl linebacker Julian Peterson to Detroit for defensive tackle Cory Redding and a 2009 fifth-round draft choice.

Redding agreed to restructure his contract to make the deal work. He signed a 7-year, $49 million deal with the Lions in 2007. Both players must pass physicals to complete the trade.
The deal raises questions about Detroit's draft-day plans. The Lions hold the top overall pick and Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry had been suggested has a candidate for that spot.
The Seahawks gave Peterson a $54 million, seven-year contract three years ago after their Super Bowl appearance in Detroit. Peterson became an expensive asset because linebacker Leroy Hill got $8.4 million guaranteed this year with a franchise tag and Lofa Tatupu signed a $42 million contract a year ago.
During its winless season, the lack of talent at linebacker was one of Detroit's glaring problems.
The Seahawks, meanwhile, had one of the league's best trios with Peterson, Tatupu and Hill.

I guess the Hawks are not going to go after Raji with the 4th pick in the draft. So the question becomes is Raji from Boston College a better player than Corey Redding? Also I know that LB Aaron Curry is slated to go to KC with the 3rd overall pick. Do the Hawks know KC is not going to take Curry and now plan to take Curry themselves at 4? As a Hawks fan I still wanted Crabtree or Knowshon Moreno!!!!! I really admit that I wanted the sexy pick and would let the Hawks find a DT in the 4th round and beyond so that even if the Hawks draft Eugene Monroe T Virginia at 4 they can still get a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft. (like Pitt's McCoy or Iowa's Shoon Green)Someone please help me and send this to Seahawks Management!!!!!!!!!!
