Marshawn Lynch being investigated in alleged assault

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is a person of interest in an alleged assault in Bellevue, Wash., the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

No charges have been filed at this time, however. A female victim is alleging an assault and damage to property took place, though Bellevue police have stated no domestic or sexual assault has been claimed.

“The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved,” police stated, via the Post-Intelligencer. “No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.”

Lynch is no stranger to run-ins with the law. He's previous incidents, including a hit-and-run, and being arrested separate times for driving with a concealed weapon and suspicion of DUI.

Over the past few years, Lynch has been one of the best running backs in the NFL. In the last three years, Lynch has totaled 4,051 yards and 35 touchdowns.
