Michael Crabtree 'inspiring' in latest performance

Has Michael Crabtree finally arrived for the San Francisco 49ers?

He might argue that happened some time ago, but Crabtree put together a complete effort in Sunday’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals, catching seven passes for 120 yards. Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News said his 29-yard gain when he broke four tackles might have been the most outstanding.

Crabtree, the former first-round draft pick, leads the 49ers with 455 receiving yards. No, that’s not huge production, but the 49ers haven’t been an explosive passing team. His 38 receptions ranks one behind tight end Vernon Davis for the team lead.

I thought Michael played great,” Smith said. “It was one of the best games I've seen him play -- getting the ball in his hands, sparking us, being a playmaker.”

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman called Crabtree “inspiring.” We’ll see what Crabtree inspires come Thursday night when the Baltimore Ravens come calling.
