Mike Lombardi has been linked to the Patriots recently.

Having been fired as the Browns' general manager, there has been a great deal of speculation linking Lombardi to his old friend Bill Belichick.

There just might be something tot his.

On Wednesday, Lombardi was on a plane with members of the Patriots' staff heading to the NFL combine, according to a report from the NFL Network.

Perhaps it's a coincidence. Or maybe the Patriots will have an announcement to make sometime soon.
