Can you believe Sam Williams made the cut again? Wait...I guess you can. His scholarship is post graduate by now. What is the over/under on JL Higgins first turnover that loses a game?

Look it, maybe by designation the Pats have 7 receivers but in actuality they only have 3. Aiken and Washington are on the team for special teams. And Ventrone and CJ Jones for their versatility. None of them can fill in for the top 3. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to pick up another legit receiver.

I think the Jets also plan on using one of their WRs as a CB. Apparently Chansai Stuckley got some reps at corner in the final preseason game, and didn't look half bad doing it. (How badly do the Jets want to be the Patriots??)

Giants should sign Quinn Gray. They probably hope to trade one of the young value RB.

As for NE needs, I'd look Deltha O'Neil's way first, they need some kind of CB depth. Then look to Reche Caldwell and Samie Parker.

LaMont Jordan is hella cheap in cap leagues and Kevin Faulk will miss one game for certain....

I hope Deltha does well there. Bill B will not ask a player to go past his limitations, without finding some way of helping him in the scheme.


I also like that Bill B was scouring the Jets roster for players. The players should transition fast moving nearby, and he gets inside dibs on their new audibles and schemes.

Their new corner will get more chances for interceptions with teams playing catchup to his new team's offense. Deltha should feel less a need to gamble in that category, so he should alleviate the concerns of getting toasted, especially with the help they can put around him.

Now he's somewhere he can really play his game the way that his personal traits meet the challenge. Good luck.

Once the Faulk situation is resovled after the first game the Pats may also find some way to shuffle around things to add even more depth for defense, or add a return man/wideout.

The experience factor says they need a wideout, but to really be where they expect to play in Jan. and Feb. the team needs more quality defensive depth also.

That last roster spot could be critical when you are a team that plans on being a more perfect union, this year out.

Going for 19 wins. Many of us expect that to be a moot point within the first month, but they still are looking to secure home field, one game at a time.
