Great work Wes.
I love, love Knowshon and think he's one of the more underrated prospects to come out in a long time. He is the most complete back to come out since LT in 01 and whoever gets him is going to get an absolute steal.
I think Moreno runs with more power and aggression than Wells. That's part of the reason i'm not so high on Wells, he's close to 240 but runs like he's about 180. Knowshon weight about 210 and runs like Brandon Jacobs, runs with passion, like every carry is his last.
I have a strong feeling that my Packers are going to Moreno a LONG look and wouldn't be surprised one bit if we took him. He's the type of guy that is going to absolutely kill it in interviews and GMs will fall in love with him, that's if they don't after watching the passion he runs with and what kind of leader he is on the field. If Moreno can run a similar 40 time to LT back in 01(4.46), I think he could go as high as 5 to Cleveland.
I love all the insite that you guys provide. You're everything that Mel Kiper is not.
Absolutely fantastic stuff Wes. Draft analysis can be found all over the web and some of it is good, some of it is lame mock drafts, but yours is very solid.
I love these unique ranking articles that you can't find elsewhere, it really helps to better understand what backs may go to what teams as opposed to a straight-up ranking.
Really, after reading this, I wouldn't be surprised to see Green go higher than McCoy or at least higher than he is projected.
Too many JTs...
this is a great site, you should have something like a calender where you can go back and read all of the articles that were posted on that day.
Hey Brett, I like and agree with your thinking. As a Packer fan (don't let my posting handle fool you) I chose Moreno in a mock draft last week and was heavily criticized for it!
Thanks Chicago Hooligan(lol), don't let other people change your mock drafts. I've learned that over the years of making them, people are WAY too fixated on addressing need in the 1st Round even though Ted has NEVER EVER done that. Ted will take the best player on his board, reguardless of position(except QB obviously) and if that's Moreno, I have no doubt he'll be the guy.
In a draft short on true blue-chip prospects, you have to take one if you have the chance to and I feel Moreno is one of the few. The kid is special and even if it's not an immediate need, you take him. I see virtually no weakness in Moreno's game and if we take him, i'm buying his jersey before Goodell finishes saying his name.
A friend is running a Lions draft for FF, Kirwan says Knowshown runs a 4.4, imagine those moves and cuts on that indoor surface.
Suddenly the Vikings amazing runner has some comp in his division for highlight reels every Sunday.
When the Lions have been great they've had great runners.
Still I'd like to see a cornerstone lineman go to them.
So the Hands #5 and the Blocking #3 are both Johnson's but Jeremiah, Gartrell, or Ian????
wes, what back has the speed and tougness of former packer/card/giant player leshon johnson ?
Sorry, because of an editing error, some first names were left out in some categories
#5 Hands is Jeremiah Johnson
#3 Blocking is Gartrell Johnson, Colorado State
greene and jackson would make a great power running game. now thats a one'two punch.but he would have to fall to #33 spot.
