From Eric Edholm of ProFootballWeekly.com:

Once OLT Tra Thomas signed with the Jaguars, the talk of how to replace him started. And when the Rams released Orlando Pace this week, many felt the Eagles had the player to replace Thomas. Don’t bank on it. Team sources have indicated that assuming Pace will sign with the Eagles might be a bit premature, especially if Pace — only a year younger than Thomas at 33 — asks for big money. The Eagles certainly have the salary-cap room to sign Pace, but they might not want to. They have two guards, Todd Herremans and Shawn Andrews, who the coaches believe can kick out to tackle, and they have a young player in 6-foot-8 OT King Dunlap, a seventh-rounder in 2008, who they think is a very intriguing player with some upside and a possible future starter. There also is the draft, and head coach Andy Reid loves to take linemen in April, but we get the impression that it’s not as much of a lock that the team will draft a tackle with one of its first-round picks as others believe.
