Linebacker Aaron Curry, considered by many to be the most fail-safe prospect in the 2009 NFL Draft, has decided to retire after being given up on by his third NFL team, the New York Giants earlier this week.
Curry was taken fourth overall by the Seattle Seahawks out Wake Forest and was considered to be a can't miss type of player. But after two and a half years, he was dealt to the Raiders Oakland Raiders, where he was again let go. The Giants signed him in the off-season, but he failed to make it to the cut of 75 players.
Curry took to Twitter to announce his decision, saying, "After a lot of prayer. Consulting with God. The best thing for my family and myself is to retire",,,
