Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he will not miss the birth of his first child, even if it means missing a football game.

"I'm not missing the birth of my child," Roethlisberger said. "There's no chance. I know some fans probably don't want to hear that, but there's no chance."

The baby is due the first week of December.

The biggest incident of a player missing a game for the birth of his child came in 1993 when Houston Oilers lineman David Williams opted to do so and was fined for his decision.
