Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and has been declared out for the season by coach Rob Chudzinski.

Chudzinski said today at a press conference that Hoyer will undergo surgery.

Hoyer tore his anterior cruciate ligament during a win over the Buffalo Bills, injured while sliding and hit by linebacker Kiko Alonso.

"Obviously he's disappointed," Chudzinski said. "If you know him, he's positive. Already thinking about being back.''
