The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran linebacker Jamaal Westerman.

Westerman played for Browns coach Mike Pettine during previous stints with the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.

A sixth-year pro from Rutgers, Westerman has played in 58 games with three starts. He's recorded 35 tackles, six sacks, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble with 27 special-teams tackles.

Westerman has played for the Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Bills and Steelers.

 

 

At Rutgers, Westerman registered 141 tackles and 26 sacks.
