The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut starting offensive guard Davin Joseph, the team announced.
“We thank Davin for his contributions on and off the field during his eight years in Tampa Bay and we wish him well," Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said in a statement.
Joseph, 30, was due a $6 million base salary.
The Buccaneers reportedly attempted to trade Joseph before cutting him today.
He has started 99 games in seven seasons.
Joseph didn't have as effective season as usual after returning from knee surgery last year.
