The Buffalo Bills have released quarterback Kevin Kolb, the organization announced on Tuesday.

He spent the entire 2013 season on injured reserve due to a concussion. Kolb has a long history with concussions, though it's unclear if Kolb will consider retiring before the 2014 season.

Kolb was signed prior to the 2013 season. Even if the injury didn't occur, it's unlikely he would have beaten out rookie E.J. Manuel for the starting quarterback job.
