Jets rookie safety Calvin Pryor has had to take some time off from football activities due to a concussion sustained in practice a few days ago.

On Thursday, he was able to at least re-join his teammates.

According to the New York Daily News, Pryor returned to practice but was wearing a red non-contact jersey on the field. That would indicate that while he's allowed to participate in some drills, he hasn't been cleared for contact.

The Jets will hope their first-round pick is ready for the regular season so that he can work in and show his big-hitting style. But they'll want to play it safe to make sure that Pryor isn't experiencing any ill effects from the recent head injury.
