Cary Williams isn't in this business to make new friends.
If so, he wouldn't have proclaimed the New England Patriots "cheaters" during a recent media session he participated in. Williams was given the opportunity to follow-up on that, to which he did not back down.
"Did I say the wrong thing? No," Williams said, via the News Journal. "I stand firm on what my beliefs are, and that's just that. I didn't tell a lie. At the end of the day, that did happen. It's in the history books. As far as I'm concerned, I made a comment about it and that's that."
It's safe to say Williams has probably alienated himself from those that live in the New England region. And based on Williams' personality, there's not a chance he cares. He's always been a tough-nosed corner with a chip on his shoulder, dating back to when he was seldom recruited out of high school.
In the NFL, Williams has gone from a little-known seventh-rounder to a starting cornerback. And throughout his tenure in the league, he's always kept that competitive fire burning.
