The Kansas City Chiefs signed veteran offensive guard Mike McGlynn.

McGlynn was cut this week by the Washington Redskins.

The Chiefs waived offensive lineman Benn Gottschalk.

McGlynn has started 48 games and played in 57 games in five NFL seasons with the Indianapolos Colts, Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles.

He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2008.

He spent three seasons with Chiefs coach Andy Reid in Philadelphia.
