Dabo Swinney continues to stockpile an impressive array of talent at Clemson.
The Tigers head coach landed yet another commitment from an impact defender when Scott Pagano, one of the top defensive tackles in the Class of 2013, chose the Tigers over a plethora of big-name programs, including Florida, LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Oklahoma, Michigan and USC.
The 6-3, 279-pound Moanalua High School (Honolulu, HI) defender is considered by many recruiting analysts to be one of the most underrated prospects in the 2013 crop. He's the type of player who is not only very good right now but has a lot of room for growth as well.
Pagano was long thought to favor LSU or Florida, but perhaps a recent visit to Clemson swayed him.
Pagano is Clemson's 16th commitment in the 2013 class and the team's first defensive tackle. The centerpiece of the class is defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, who is the best overall defender in America. The question, however, is whether Swinney and Co. can keep his pledge until National Signing Day.
