Veteran NFL offensive tackle Eric Winston has signed with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

"Season finally starts for me today!" Winston wrote on his Twitter account. "Looking forward to chasing a ring with the Seahawks!! Time go to work!

The president of the NFL Players Association has started 119 career games in eight seasons.

He has played for the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans.

Winston, 30, didn't grade out highly last season for the Cardinals.

He has started every game for seven consecutive seasons, though.

Winston could provide a proven veteran presence for the Seahawks.
