Former Pro Bowl center Jeff Hartings, who spent 11 years in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers, said that he and other players would tank the baseline concussion tests in order to be able to get back into games following head injuries.
That comment comes courtesy of Alex Marvez of FoxSports on Twitter, who said Hartings made the remarks at a "Heads Up Football" symposium in Canton, Ohio, for youth coaches.
Hartings told the coaches that the practice of tanking the baseline test was wrong and he hopes that today's players don't make the mistake of hiding concussions.
