The Detroit Lions have signed tight end Jordan Thompson to a one-year contract.

He tried out for the Lions last week at a minicamp.

Thompson is a former undrafted free agent from Ohio University.

The 6-foot-4, 248-pounder caught 60 passes for 666 yards and six touchdowns for the Bobcats.

The Lions also have signed wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt and center Sherman Carter from the minicamp tryout.
