Veteran cornerback Marcus Trufant signed a one-day contract so he could retire as a member of the Seahawks.

Trufant played for the Seahawks for a decade after being selected in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft.

He played collegiately at Washington State.

“I retire the right way, as a Seahawk,” Trufant siad during a press conference.

Trufant played in the Super Bowl once and the Pro Bowl in 2007 when he intercepted a career-high seven interceptions.

In 2004, he led the Seahawks with 93 tackles.
