Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby's contract got a shave and a haircut.
Crosby was initially due a $2.4 million salary that has now been reduced to $800,000, a league source confirmed.
The source confirmed that figure becomes fully guaranteed for skill, injury and cap if Crosby remains on the roster Sept. 7.
And Crosby can regain the lost $1.6 million through per game roster bonuses and incentive clauses.
Only this year of his five-year, $14.75 million contract was altered.
Crosby is the lone kicker remaining on the roster after Zach Ramirez and Giorgio Tavecchio were recently released.
Crosby has connected on all four field goal attempts this preseason, but is coming off a rocky season.
Now, he appears to have secured his job for this season contractually and through his performance.
