Barring an unforeseen change, Percy Harvin is expected to miss his second consecutive game with persistent migraine issues.
Harvin was away from the team’s facility on Friday and has been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at the Metrodome. Harvin did not play last Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Harvin has not taken part in a full practice since Nov. 26.
It’s a troubling situation for the Vikings, who have gone to great lengths to determine the root of Harvin’s problems and help him find relief from the migraines. Obviously, nothing has worked to this point.
“It's going to be very, very difficult to get him up to speed," interim head coach Leslie Frazier said. "But we'll see.
"He's had migraines before, and when he has those episodes, you don't always know how long they're going to last or the severity of those migraines. Nobody can deal with it other than the person who's having those migraines. In my case, I end up going by what the doctors tell me and also when I communicate with Percy, what he tells me. Right now, no football for right now."
