University of Minnesota offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is reportedly set to join Pete Carroll's staff with the Seattle Seahawks.
According to The Star Tribune, Fisch will be named Seahawks quarterbacks coach, with an announcement to come as early as Tuesday.
Fisch recently completed his first season as the play-caller for the Gophers after spending the previous eight campaigns in a variety of assistant roles in the NFL, including stints with the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos.
Under Fisch in 2009, Minnesota’s offense finished last in the Big Ten in both yards (306.5 ypg) and points (20.9 ppg). However, the Gophers were adjusting to a completely new system and had issues on the offensive line, in addition to missing star wideout Eric Decker for the last four games of the season.
Head coach Tim Brewster is expected to maintain the same system if Fisch departs, but it is unknown who would overtake play-calling duties next season. Offensive line coach Tim Davis is one possibility.
