Week 7 of the 2012 college football season is in the books, and it was yet another memorable weekend.
South Carolina and West Virginia were defeated for the first time, Oklahoma smoked Texas in the Red River Shootout and Notre Dame used a goal-line stand to stop Stanford.
With the rankings shaken up, let’s take a look at how the National Football Post stacks up the Top 25 heading into the eighth week of the season.
2012 record in parentheses and last week’s ranking in brackets.
1. Alabama (6-0) 
Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon combined for five scores as the Crimson Tide beat Missouri 42-10.
2. Oregon (6-0) 
The Ducks were off this past weekend and will play at Arizona State on Thursday.
US PRESSWIRECollin Klein and K-State remain unbeaten after being tested by Iowa State.
3. Kansas State (6-0) 
Collin Klein ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats held off Iowa State 27-21 for their fifth straight win over the Cyclones.
4. Florida (6-0) 
Jeff Driskel ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns, and the Gators beat Vanderbilt 31-17 to stay undefeated.
5. Notre Dame (6-0) 
The Fighting Irish stopped Stepfan Taylor inches from the end zone on fourth down in overtime as they remained unbeaten with a 20-13 victory against Stanford.
6. Ohio State (7-0) 
Braxton Miller rushed for 149 yards, scoring on a 67-yard run and throwing touchdown passes of 60 and 46 yards, as the Buckeyes held on to beat Indiana 52-49.
7. LSU (6-1) 
Jeremy Hill had 124 rushing yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers handed South Carolina its first loss of the season 23-21.
8. Oregon State (5-0) 
Cody Vaz stepped in for Sean Mannion, passing for three touchdowns and 332 yards in a 42-24 win over BYU.
9. South Carolina (6-1) 
Connor Shaw finished 19 of 34 for 177 yards and two scores, but he was intercepted twice in the Gamecocks' 23-21 loss to LSU.
10. Oklahoma (4-1) 
Blake Bell recorded four touchdowns on the ground as the Sooners beat Texas 63-21 for their second straight blowout win in the series.
11. Florida State (6-1) 
EJ Manuel threw for a career-high 439 yards and four touchdowns as the Seminoles rolled to a 51-7 victory over Boston College.
12. Georgia (5-1) 
The Bulldogs were off this past weekend and will travel to Kentucky on Saturday.
