Police searched the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez as part of the investigation of a homocide, according to SI.com.
The search went on for about two hours Tuesday, as 10 police cars surrounded the star tight end's home.
According to the report, Hernandez is not believed to be a suspect in the case, but a vehicle rented in his name has turned up as evidence in the case. Police are searching for the killer of a 27-year-old, whose body was found Monday in a clearing the Boston suburb of North Attleboro.
A source close to Hernandez, per the report, indicated there is a connection between the tight end and the case, but did not elaborate. Athletes First, Hernandez's representatives, declined comment to SI.com. Hernandez has consulted with an attorney, who did not return calls to SI.com.
