Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy called it a “priority as an organization” to sign Aaron Rodgers to a contract extension.
Speaking from the NFL owners meeting in Arizona, Murphy said the Packers are trying to work out a new contract for the team’s most valuable player, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Murphy indicated cash and cap space would not be issues for the organization.
When it’s done, Rodgers could easily surpass the $120.6 million, six-year contract Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco just received.
