The Ravens have dealt with injuries to their top three cornerbacks this preseason.

Lardarius Webb (back), Jimmy Smith (chest contusion) and Asa Jackson (ankle) have all had their share of ailments and haven't been able to participate much. With the regular season approaching, the Ravens must have figured some added depth was needed to shore up the spot.

According to The Baltimore Sun, the Ravens will sign cornerback Derek Cox on Wednesday. Cox was recently released by the Minnesota Vikings as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players.

Cox played his first four NFL seasons with San Diego before joining the Chargers a year ago. He has 241 total tackles and 13 interceptions in his career. He was recently released by Minnesota as the franchise trimmed down to 75 players.

Not only are Baltimore's top three corners injured, they lost Aaron Ross for the year when he tore his Achilles doing the conditioning test.
