Danny Amendola is on his way out of St. Louis and one team expected to pursue him is the Philadelphia Eagles.
Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly reports the Eagles have interest in the slot wide receiver who has been plagued by injuries the past two seasons.
Amendola has two 60-catch seasons in the last three years and is a shifty and productive player in the slot. Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur worked with Amendola previously in St. Louis and it’s believed he would be ideal in Chip Kelly’s offense.
Wide receiver isn’t the greatest need for the Eagles, who have DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant as their top three. But there could be a soft market for Amendola because of his durability concerns as well as the fact that he isn’t considered a top performer on the outside.
