Who is worth watching tonight?

PeadICONPead is dangerous in space.

1. LB Audie Cole: NC State (6-5, 239)
Played outside as junior and will kick inside as a senior. Looks better suited to play as an 43 OLB to me who has the skill set to start and play three downs for an NFL defense.

2. RB Isaiah Pead: Cincinnati (5-11, 200)
His skill set would be more effective running from more of a single-back set or the gun in the NFL, where he can press the hole quickly and threaten the perimeter. Nevertheless, looks more like a reserve than potential starter who can be worked into a rotation.

3. DT J.R. Sweezy: NC State (6-5, 295)
Looks like a five technique at the next level in a 34 front. Isn’t ever going to be a difference maker, but is willing to do the dirty work, can set the edge and shed on the outside vs. the run, and with a better job getting off the ball lower should be able to fight for playing time in years 2 or 3.

4. TE George Bryan: NC State (6-5, 265)
An NFL caliber “on the line Y”, he isn’t a dynamic pass catching option but has the ability to make plays underneath and at least threaten the seam and can develop into a plus caliber run blocker. Isn’t quite dynamic to start in the NFL, but could end up being one of the better reserves at the position at the next level.

5. WR D.J. Woods: Cincinnati (6-0, 178)
A thinly built kid with a fearless attitude over the middle. Isn’t going to be a dynamic inside option when asked to separate, but should get a shot in a camp and will have a chance to compete for a roster spot. Nothing more then fringe roster guy at best. Free agent only in my book.
