The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms on a five-year, $25 million deal with former Carolina Panthers safety Mike Mitchell, according to a league source.

Mitchell is an athletic, hard-hitting former Oakland Raiders second-round draft pick.

He recorded 66 tackles, four interceptions, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and eight pass deflections last season.

For his career, Mitchell has 205 tackles, seven sacks and six interceptions.
