Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that he is "hopeful" that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be able to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cleveland Browns.
Roethlisberger sat out on Christmas Eve to rest his injured ankle, an injury he tried to play through in a loss to San Francisco. In that game, Roethlisberger had four turnovers. Roethlisberger originally sustained the injury against the Browns on Dec. 8.
Tomlin said via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he also hoped linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) and center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) would be able to go against the Browns as well.
